ATLANTIC CITY, NJ -- Damian Saunders scored 20 points and Bill Clark added his second career double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead seventh-seeded Duquesne to a 78-74 upset win over second-seed Rhode Island in the Atlantic 10 Championship quarterfinal at Atlantic City, N.J. The win propelled the Dukes into the Championship semifinal for the first time since 1994.   Full Story

The Atlantic 10 Conference got one win in a first round men's basketball postseason game on Tuesday, but lost a pair. UMass cruised to an 80-60 NIT win over Stephen F. Austin. The A-10 went down in a couple close games: URI was edged by Creighton, 74-73, in the NIT, and Richmond saw its participation in the CBI end tonight at Virgina, 66-64.   Full Story
