Four Fort Wayne pitchers combined to two-hit the South Bend Silver Hawks in a 3-1 victory to begin the Midwest League playoffs. TinCaps starter Simon Castro did not allow a hit in 6.2 innings of work. Silver Hawks shortstop Reynaldo Navarro broke up the team no-hitter with an eighth-inning RBI single, but it was too little too late.   Full Story

The only category they didn’t win outright was strikeouts, with the Lake Elsinore Storm staff tying them with 252 K’s. Was there a challenger in the individual ranks? Drew Cumberland scored four times in another TinCaps win. Nick Greenwood is solid in his start and Bo Davis has a true walk-off. Manuel Nuno gets the game winner in the 12th.   Full Story
